Homemade Ice Cream
1 qt. fruit, mashed
2 cups sugar
Mix together and let stand at room temperature until sugar dissolves.
1- 15 oz. can evaporated milk
1 cup to 1 pint whipping cream (You decided on the thickness.)
Add milk and cream to the fruit mixture.
Pour into the ice cream maker container. Use regular milk to fill to the fill line on the container.
Freeze with ice and salt around the outside of the container, as per ice cream maker instructions.
Makes 4 quarts.
