Yum! We had beef bulgogi last night for dinner. It was awesome! Beef Bulgogi is a Korean dish, a kind of BBQ beef. This recipe is a marinate that seasons the meat and then you grill it. We just ate it with rice. I had it cold today for lunch with a green salad. That was excellent, too!
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 4 servings
1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced
5 T. soy sauce
2 1/2 T. white sugar
1/4 cup chopped green onion
2 T. minced garlic
2 T. sesame seeds
2 T. sesame oil
1/2 t. ground black pepper
Directions
- Place the beef in a shallow dish. Combine soy sauce, sugar, green onion, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and ground black pepper in a small bowl. Pour over beef. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Quickly grill beef on hot grill until slightly charred and cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes per side.
